I didn’t even make it two pages in before the tears hit—messy, can’t-see-the-text, hold-the-book-away kind of tears. My husband asked why I’d read something that makes me cry so hard. Honestly? Because sometimes the books that break you are the ones you remember most.
The author Tillie Cole, made every moment feel so alive—the kind of writing that makes you forget you’re reading and just pulls you into someone else’s soul for a while.
If these books ever get turned into a movie or a series, I will absolutely be seated with snacks, tissues, and unrealistic expectations. (Netflix? Hello?)
If you’ve read them—let’s talk. If you haven’t: go in with your whole heart… but maybe hydrate first.
Highly recommend if you’re in the mood to feel everything. 10/10 emotional damage. Would cry again.
